Topic: Need the right stud for clamp > Tbar

I need some suggestions here. I'm sure all these pics aren't necessary for a lot of the knowledgeable people but I already took them so what the heck. So, I bought a Tbar that has 5/8" screw-type male studs like this:

with the matching female receptor in the middle like this:

And I also got a Super Clamp that has a hexagonal snap-in female receptor, and it came with a hexagonal stud that terminates in 1/4"-20 like this:

That wasn't what I needed, I knew I needed the 5/8" male screw-type stud, so I bought this, wrongly thinking it would do the trick:

It arrived today, and I realized this doesn't work either, as it is 5/8" but not the screw-type 5/8", it's some other type of connector. I guess my main question is, is there even a piece being manufactured that is out there anywhere, with a hexagonal snap-in end on one end, and 5/8" male screw-type stud on the other end? That would get the job done, but I can't seem to find any such product anywhere!

And if that doesn't exist, what should I do? Is there some sort of adapter that will connect one of the hexagonal studs I already have to the 5/8" female screw-type receptor? Or can I buy a different type of receptor altogether to fit one of these studs? Any help/links will be appreciated! Thanks.

I think what you're missing is this:

Will allow you to connect your T-bar to your SuperClamp.  At least, that's how I do it.  I'm sure there are other options.

For what it's worth, I've found the SuperClamp to be useless in a vertical clamping environment unless I used one of these to change the orientation:

Yeah I was also thinking that the super clamp would be useless in a vertical clamping situation, but, I also recently got a stand, so I can't imagine where I'll need to clamp vertically. Hopefully I'll just be able to use it for horizontal situations.

As for your links...thanks and I'll keep that in mind, but that seems awfully complicated and doesn't take advantage of what I already own, and I don't see how either of the parts you suggested would interface with the hexagonal snap-in receptor. I'm basically looking for the cheapest and easiest solution based on what I already own. Isn't there a 1/4"-20 female receptor somewhere that I could thread through the T-bar center hole? Sigh...I'll keep looking.

In this setup, you actually connect it differently to the SuperClamp.  Turn the stud upside-down and thread it into the 1/8" threaded hole next to the hexagonal receptor.  Then the Rapid Adapter fits over the hexagonal stud, tightens onto it, and receives the 3/8" to 5/8" adapter.  Then the T-bar attaches to the top.  Again, I'm sure it can be accomplished other ways, but the Rapid Adapter is widely utilized for this, so I suspect this method is among the easiest ways to do it.

they work perfect w/ a superclamp

you'll still need the rapid apadter 5/8 stud > 3/8 and then also some 3/8 female > 5/8 male (linked above)......

it's good to have a bunch of different kinds of adapters.....if you need to buy one, i'd buy 10 or so at the same time (save on shipping)

thanks, but with the help of an old sales guy i came up with a $3 solution at a hardware store involving a 1/4" nut and a few rubber rings to fit on the 1/4" thread of the clamp stud. clamp connected to Tbar. surprised no one here suggested something simple like that, that's all i was looking for.
