Shockmounts for MC012's
« on: April 02, 2004, 12:06:28 AM »
I'm looking for any suggestions for shockmounts for this size mic. The mounts that came with my mics just are'nt cutting it. I'm looking for maximum adjustment, low cost and if possible, lower profile??
                                                                Thanks

I, too, am looking for lower profile. At the moment, I'm using a pair of the Audio Technica general purpose mounts, (link). They do the job, but look pretty boxy. I'm looking for something a little smaller.

you might look to the shure shocks, little lower profile than the 8010a's.  if you are in a pinch dont forget about the ts.com gear loaner program

Thanks for the help. I'll take a look into the Shure's. Thanks for the offer of a loan, is there a list of what's available??

John, thanks for the link. This is a great way for people to get to try before you buy, so you don't end up with gear that is'nt going to work for you.
Nice work by Jonny and all the others in getting this going. If I had a couple more posts I'd +T.
