Does this enable external powering as well?

No.  You don't need to do anything to enable external powering other than build the appropriate external power setup.  Popular options include 9.6v RC batteries, a Walmart LiON battery pack, or 12v SLA.  Check the Archival Info forum for a thread on DIY SLA/RC packs, or search the Remote Power forum for the Walmart liON info.

Okay, thanks so much.  I thought that since it was "USB Powered", you would have to mod something else, to enable an external power supply, but when I looked around more, I found that "USB Powered" is just misleading, because it uses a seperate adapter.  Thanks so much for putting up with my... newbness... it's much appreciated ;)

Thanks,
Robby
