What are people using that does gapless? I've been using VLC forever but I'm really sick of gaps.

Would love an answer to this as well but I don't think Apple cares about this issue.

So after seeing this thread I was looking around again and found Vox.  I can confirm it does gapless audio of MP3 if synced with itunes.  FLAC playback is a cloud thing it appears but the mp3s work.  Yahoo!

When I listen to the computer with flac, I use VOX as well. Gapless? Never listened that intently.

I don't think you would have to "listen intently" to notice if it was gapless or not. Any live performance from one track to the next would be easy enough to identify.

Cog is terrific for gapless playback on Mac, but finding a version that works consistently on recent OSes can be a challenge.

Yeah, I was using Cog until it stopped working with more current OSX versions.

Yeah, that was a pretty bizarre response.

Thanks, this looks like a nice interface. Will try it out.

Bizarre?
I don't listen on computer, except when editing; never for casual playback listening.  The last time I listened to VOX was likely several months ago, or even a year ago.  I do not listen intently enough to know about gaps, as I don't use this mechanism for listening very often. Someone else suggested Vox. I concurred.

Hmmm. This seems to only play for 1 minute if it's in the background, then music stops.

I only use Vox for my iphone.  I had a hard time finding a gapless solution for casual listering in the car or bluetooth to a speaker.  It really only matters to me for live shows with segueways anyway.

Only music played on my computer is when mastering shows.  Everything else is on my phone so Vox works well for me.
