I'm sure there are some Pro Tools/Windows users here. I have a few questions. First I'm not using and will likely never use PT. I own my own computer repair/IT business. A client of mine has a home studio and I'll likely be custom building him a pc. It will be i7 or i9 based so lots of cores and hyperthreading. His current build is a 4th gen i5 so only 4 core and no hyperthreading at all. He mainly uses Reaper & Studio One 2. He does use PT11 some. From what I've read both Reaper & SO benefit greatly from hyperthreading. What concerns me is I'm reading that you should turn off hyperthreading and turbo boost for PT! Anyone with experience care to chime in? I found lots of forum comments related to this and this article.....
