2 weeks ago, I received 3 Kingston 2GB CF cards I won on eBay in a package deal. 2 worked flawlessly on my Marantz 660, but 1 did not. Kept getting a read error. Even tried formatting with my PC, and still wouldn't work.
The Kingston's have a lifetime warranty. So I decided to test it. I went on Kingston's website and filled out their RMA request. Submitted it online, and within minutes, they emailed me my RMA # and instructions. Printed out their emailed RMA form, put the card in a padded envelope, and dropped it off at the nearest Kinko's/FedEx. Shipping is FREE.
Today, just over a week after I shipped, a new card, in factory sealed packaging, arrived from Kingston. Out of pocket costs: $0.00. Excellent service, no questions asked.
Below is the link to Kingston's customer support. Under "Product Support Contacts", choose RMA request and follow the steps.
If you have a problematic Kingston card, just do it! Gotta love Lifetime Guarantee. ;D

EDIT: *** They require signature at delivery (FedEx). You may want them to deliver at work, if no one is at home during delivery time.

When you read so many horror stories, it's nice to hear a fairy tale every now and then...
