Title: Tascam DR-2D
Post by: acidjack on February 16, 2010, 04:37:37 PM
http://www.tascam.com/products/dr-2d.html

New unit with a nice special available at SoundPros ($199).  Other than the nice price (list is same as M10/R-09HR at $299) I'm not sure I see any compelling features, though there are some potentially interesting "idiot proofing" features such as "dual recording" which "records at a lower level" in case you overload (somehow, like the various limits, etc., I don't see it really working for taping, but who knows) and something that auto-starts when input goes over a certain amount (potentially useful).

I'm not in the market for a new unit at present, but for those who are, definitely worth a look.  I don't know too many who complain about Tascam's build quality.

I'd be curious to know battery life as well.
