Edirol R09 HR level buttons don't work
« on: August 12, 2009, 11:17:46 AM »
I went to set levels on my R09 HR last night and found I could not change them- buttons have no effect.  I was able to set with the remote, so I assume it's a mechanical problem with the switches... the UP button has the normal click when pushed, but the DOWN is spongy when pressed, no click.

Any suggestions, or do I send it to Roland for repair?

If the hold button was not on, and the device was set to record or record standby, then the only reason for the levels to not change is probably mechanical failure.  I would check those things and send it in to Roland.

If you are handy, I would crack it open and check things out before sending into Roland.  I opened my R-09 (not HR, but I have an HR now) and it was easy to put back together.
