Title: Firestick w/ Kodi

Re: Firestick w/ Kodi

Been thinking about picking one of these up, preloaded and whatnot. I know you can slap kodi on a variety of devices. Anyone have any thoughts on Firestick vs. Chromecast,  or other devices out there?

I have Kodi on the Raspberry Pi 3. Works great.

I'm under the impression that the Pi 3 and Firestick are the 2 best "cheap" options for Kodi. Some other cheap options have issues with HD video.

Reddit has been a good source for me on this. Especially for plugins.

As far as plugins go I use:

1. Exodus (great for tons of streaming programming)
2. Made In Canada (I use this to stream OHL and QMJHL hockey games, but it also has other Canadian programming/sports).

Thanks. This might be a good way to "dip my toes" so to speak.

I picked up a firestick recently, but haven't used it much yet.  Need to finish House Of Cards on Netflix first!  A friend that has one and helped me set mine up, said it was a better version than his older one, and he wants me to get him one now.  I can apparently watch live broadcasts and news, whereas he can't.  It seemed cool when he was showing me stuff, and I think it will work well for me.
