Post by: MakersMarc on April 21, 2015, 08:15:48 PM
Have never run this, do I run minus ten, 0 or plus 30? From a balcony 50 feet from stage.

Thanks!

I always run +15 into the DR-2d line in at 98. Never had it clip at those settings. I've heard +30 works well but I've had brickwalling so I don't go past 15. Maybe I'm running too low as the wav sometimes has to be amplified by 8-10db or so but it's better than clipping. I know a lot of people like to run it with the peak light coming on and off but I typically avoid that.

Thanks. Mine only has zero, -10 and +30. I ran at plus 30 wide open, into an m1 set at about 5 line in.  No bricking, and anything below plus 30 was not giving me enough level, and it was loud. Until I got popped 20 minutes in.  :P

Bummer, the more you run the same gear you wont need to check levels.I set the levels and never check the deck ever again at all.

Same here.

I never look at the levels once they are set. Too busy videotaping anyway...  ;D

Ryan Adams. House staff knows me and let me alone, he had someone looking for mics, it wasn't the flashlight 60 feet away that gave me away, it was the churches clipped to the outside of a hat. No more, picked up a hat to run the 4022s
inside the hat. Live and learn.
