what plug connector do you have on your external battery? i got one with an M tip but am not very pleased with how it seats. i went to a local electrical supply and they had a connector which fit the post in the plug tighter. it was 2.1mm inside diameter plug(5.5 x 2.1). the m tip is slightly larger. i am still not pleased with the amount of play in the plug and teh fact it sticks out a bit far. do any of you have a plug that fits good that you are proud of? if so post a pic so i can see it.

I don't own my MP anymore, but when I did, I made a homebrew cable that connected the MP to an RC car battery. I bought a tip from RatShack. The tip fit nice and firm, but it was a tad longer than the hole it went in. It kinda bothered me, but I never had any problem with it coming out accidentally. Since I no longer own the unit, I couldn't tell you what size it was. I went to ratshack and the guy had all the tips available for me to try out.
