No good!  Go with Chris Church's stuff instead (Church Audio).

Someone here showed me the insides of a Visivox pre (in a PM) and it was total garbage.   In fact, it was a hacked version of a "CanaKit" mic pre, a really cheap one that uses *one transistor* only.  Two were shoved into a case and connected to a 9V battery.  Maybe some of their stuff is OK, but I wouldn't spend any money until someone shows/tells me exactly what is inside their gear...

Thanks Richard. I have read some of your posts and I value your opinion.

On another note , what do you or any one else  think of the Edirol FA-66? I think I can pick one up for about $300.00. It spec's out better than the UA-5 or UA25. As Ross Perot says I am all ears. Talk to me. ???

I have not tried that specific unit.  But my money is on the Presonus Firebox.  I've got the bigger brother "Firepod" and it sounds great!  Much better than the stock UA5 pres.  Note: AFAIK, this will not work standalone.  You need a laptop, but you get two mic pres, and either two or four additional line level inputs.
