Another uploading problem
« on: December 15, 2006, 01:41:37 AM »
I'm trying to upload a show to DAD.  I've done a bunch so far, with no problems.  This one is problematic.

When I attempt to upload the torrent, and start the seeding of my own torrent, the torrent file goes through the "checking" process and incrementally moves toward 100%, as all uploads do.  This time, it stops at 99.8%, and stays in the "downloading" stage.

DAD lists the torrent as 'dead' and shows (in my account) 0 seeders and 1 leacher (me).

Anyone know what's happening?

Have you changed the text file since making the torrent file?

Wait...I didn't change the actual text file, just the torrent info.

Not sure what you mean by "just the torrent info".  At any rate, modifying any part of the file set in the torrent will cause the problem you're experiencing.  After modifying any part of the file set, you need to re-create and re-up the torrent file.

I merely edited the description.  I didn't physically alter the file set.

DAD always stops me from uploading a second torrent until there are seeds on the first one.  In this case, I can't re-up because it thinks the first is not uploading yet.  Any other thoughts?  I may have to contact the mods directly.  >:(
