Joe, thanks for the offer. Let me figure out a good time to do it since it could sideline me from taping for a bit. Either that or I'd have to run my stand very low. But it sounds like your second option would be the best. I'll get back to ya! Thanks again. rWc3523

turning the meters off on a WM-D6C, and then level-checking later, and wondering why the heck I'm not getting signal,.... cranking the gain knob from 0->10, several times, turning the deck off, back on,... gain from 0->10 again.
Then realizing that you turned the meters off, to stay low profile.
Try listening to that one! aaaccckkKK!!!1!

This one had me rolling.  I've done similar things.  Thanks for the laugh.  +T

Yep.  I did this once too at a John Lee Hooker appearance in late '94 or early '95 not long after I got my feet wet and started borrowing a D6 from time to time.  Fortunately, the levels adjustments were during the ~ hour of the Coast to Coast Blues Band before John Lee Hooker came out for about 30 mins and played half a dozen songs.

I think I was especially nervous b/c I was a 19 year old kid at the time and in the club using my older brother's ID (it sure was nice to turn 21 twice  ;) ).
