R-09HR input jack repair
« on: November 20, 2010, 03:04:00 PM »
I bought a used R09HR a few months ago but when I got it I wasn't smart enough to test the line-in jack so now that I'm actually ready to take it out of the box to record a show, I find that the line-in jack is effectively broken.  The auto-input select does not engage reliably and any movement of the cable cause the unit to switch back and forth between internal mics and the line in.

So is there any possibility for repair and who does the repair?

Is there any way to force select line-in from the menu?

I've tried searching here and the manual but so far found nothing.

Can anyone offer a work around that will work?  Is there some specific cables that are known to work or not work?

No-it's automatic if something is plugged into the line in jack (at least if nothing is plugged into the mic in also). The bad jack is probably screwing up the auto select function. Get the jack fixed and all the problems should be gone.
