Great thread Chuck! I see you are also doing some research since there is some excitement in the AKG actives project thread... ;D

;D Yup, I'm just giddy over the possibility of running my CK6x caps off of either my C-460 or C-480- bodies... just giddy...  :realhappy:

So my mind is running a hundred miles an hour....

If you attach the mic clip on the capsule, are you planning on running without windscreens? I do about half outdoor and indoor shows. I always run with windscreens so I would have to get something that clips onto the lemo connector.

As for the CK6x caps, except for the 62's, clipping onto the capsule would cover the side "vents". Wouldn't that impede the performance of the cap? Just thinking out loud...

With this design, http://taperssection.com/index.php/topic,115867.msg1549555.html#msg1549555, i have no problems sliding on a 19mm windscreen on to the ck_x caplsule.

i wonder what kind of min order NOLAH2o needs for his bars

i bet there are enough mk46 users to get a small order in if the price was right for other options as well

I would need 5 orders of each to make them. Someone would have to send me their cable or measure it with a micrometer and send me a pic with measurements labeled on it.

you have a ballpark idea on cost? say we were able to get 5-10 people to order?

i've got a spare cable i could send you for fitting/measurements

they would probably be $75 each, if you could send me a cable with a capsule on it, that would be awesome. I wonder if the lemos are the same size on the MBHO's as well?

I like the idea of "set" t-bars like your DIN and DINa bars but I would want to have some ability to point the mics into the direction I need them. I find myself in situations where I can't get a "real" DIN or DINa which is what I used to use most of the time.

Here is another option that i just came up with today.  It gives you the ability to change configurations easily.  I used a 3/8" flange that i got at Lowes, very similar to this http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=308361&Q=&is=REG&A=details and the 90 degree angles have holes in the back for the lemo connection.

t-nuts, available at most hardware stores. 3/8-16 thread

nice mounts!
so the akg's just slip fit / friction fit, without having to alter the i.d.?
I was trying some pvc fittings for the DPA's, but its just too small to fit the mics.

Yes, slide right in.  I use the soft side of velcro tape to fill in the gap and prevent scatches.  I go to a "Pipe-Mart" store with a huge selection of stuff.  They have all different sizes.

Ah, you beat me to the punch Chuck!

This is an active set up for AKG 390 bluelines with the mk90/3 active cables, using the schoeps A20s shockmount and a pair of Audix D-clips.

The whole setup is for sale BTW, if anyone is interested.
