Here is an active setup for the Milab VM44-link, using the supplied Milab mic mounts.  The mic mounts are connected together using a 1.5" delrin "riser" from Darktrain, and then inserted into a Shure A53m shockmount.  The setup provides a 20cm DIN spacing for the mics.

Here is the assembly outside of the Shure A53m:

I've also used a cheap shockmount, available for $5-10, for this setup.  It has the benefit of having an open top, so the whole assembly can be shoved into the shockmount, rather than needing to assemble it inside of the A53m mount.  The schoeps a20s or JoeMeek or Busman mounts can also be used.

Mics: Microtech Gefell m20/m21 (nbob/pfa actives), Line Audio CM3, Church CA-11 cards
Preamp:  none <sniff>
Recorders:  Sound Devices MixPre-6, Sony PCM-M10, Zoom H4nPro

And here is a similar setup for the MBHO 603a actives, using the supplied MBHO mounts.  This assembly uses a short Atlas 5/8" to 5/8" coupling and a pair of short 5/8" threaded tubes that came with some cheap radioshack mounts.  With the active heads pushed forward, it provides a 20cm DIN spacing, and with the active heads pushed back into the mount the spacing is 17cm DINa.

Again, here are the guts of the assembly, not including the shockmount:

That's my set up and the clips are sennhizer clips for the k3u/me line, 19mm.  I have searched everywhere for another pair, including Sennhiezer, with no luck.

The very compact Sennheiser clips seems to be included with some mini tripods/stands.

How "soft" is the Shure A53m shockmount? Will it provide an isolation like the Schoeps A20s shockmount?

i wonder what kind of min order NOLAH2o needs for his bars

i bet there are enough mk46 users to get a small order in if the price was right for other options as well

Has anyone tried to fit a pair of AKGs  in the Schoeps bars yet? NOLA's bars fit the Schoeps CCM lemo connections, which I suspect are the same size as the AKG lemos  (I used to run a 460/mk46 set up).

The rubber part of the A53m mount is pretty soft, so I imagine it would provide pretty good shock protection though I haven't tested it against the A20s.  It is far softer than that cheapo mount I have pictured above, which probably doesn't provide much shock protection.

Dang.  Those MBHO's are long out the back end.  Almost as long as the TOA KY's.  :o

Not that it matters since you need to run the mics as a system (mics + cables), but the active heads of the MBHOs extend about as far as the shorter side of the clip.  The rest of what you see in the above pic is the body of the miniXLR connectors.

The mini's on the HO's are 4 pin right?  The TOA's are too.   ;D  And it must be the pics but those XLR's seem way long?

For clarity sake Jeff.  Would have made no sense to refer to them as Jeff's TOA's.   ;D  But yes thanks again for the loaners.  Wanna try and use em more.
