The MBHO HK-1135 (98-8045)  look promising for low profile 21mm microphone clips.

http://www.mbho.de/pdf/accessories.pdf

^^

Thanks for that.  Any idea on the price and USA availability?

 :)

Maybe Marcus Demuth in NYC? I haven't bought MBHO stuff in quite a while.
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.

Uh-oh! Good luck with that! Anybody know why I got rid of the MBHO's? I'd call Sonic Sense or Dan from Dale Pro Audio (better luck with Dan).

Gentlemen - here's our chance for machined, delrin, VM-44 Link stereo bars.  PLEASE let BJ know if you are interested!!

Neumann Active Owners...stereo bar(set)

http://taperssection.com/index.php/topic,118785.0.html

BJ the originator of the Neumann thread says:

Just a quick note.  This has been setup for multiple runs, and can be done very quickly by the shop.  If there is interest in other types of active setups, I can have these done also.  If i get another set of actives measured, and setup for production, they too will be easy to crank out.   I have been assured by the shop that I can do runs of one set at a time, or multiple.  I hope this holds true going forward.

caveat..i really don't want to do a Schoeps run, as Louie has covered the extensivly and is selling a great setup here

it was a 2 1/16 length of PVC pipe. There is a metal rod inside that just barely fit so I could attach the two mic clips. I tossed rubber o-rings between the pipe and mounts for additional shock protection.

I have been wanting to get this set up together for a little while now.  Pictured are 2 AKG ck1x Cardiods with a center ck2x Omni all with the mk46 cables into c460b bodies.  I made my own center riser for the "Robb Bar" with extra thread coming through the top for the center mic clip.   Right now I only have a r/a interconnect for the third 460, but will eventually get another chopped stubbie and a modify a new case.

I am going to run this set up tonight onstage for Club d'Elf in Cambridge, MA.  I plan to run 4 channels mono with the fourth being a mono SBD patch.  The cards will be panned left and right accordingly and the omni and SBD will be dialed in just right to round out the mix.

I thought about doing the same thing Teddy. Looks terrific. The other thing you can try is running the Omni on its own stand further in on the stage.

That's a great idea Louie, but probably won't fly tonight with d'Elf.  I also thought about running omni's clamped  above the stage, in the right venue.

Beautiful craftmanship Teddy 8) Super Sexy!!!! Your Active AKG's are DEFINITELY the most MINTY ones I have ever seen. The MK46 Active Cables look brand spankin' new! Or did you just re-do them or have someone else just re-do them ??? Because they look SO MINTY AND CLEAN 8)

Nice work, as always Teddy!

Sorry for any cross posting.

Festival time is upon us.  Windscreens, dead rats and the like are being unpacked in anticipation of the cardioid taper's dual with the breeze...

I have one simple question.  Does Rycote make a system that would encapsulate a pair of Milab VM-44 Links mounted on a stereo bar, such as the ones pictured in the top two photos in this post:

http://taperssection.com/index.php/topic,117392.msg1568723.html#msg1568723

I know that Rycote is NOT cheap but I want a one time solution to the wind noise dilemma.  For the most part I have not been satisfied with running the Shure A-81ws with or without dead rats.  Too much HF is lost in my opinion.  I will also be running split omnis this summer as well...

thanks for weighing in,

David
