UA-5 coaxil problem
« on: February 15, 2005, 08:30:29 PM »
my coaxil output on my w-mod ua-5 is going out.  ive had it for 3 weeks, and now its loose and gives a broken signal if it gives a signal at all.  wtf?  anyone else had this problem/know how to fix it?  should i just send it back to doug?  this sucks, cause im right in the middle of recording my band in my basement, and the coaxil output is the only digi output i can use.  {aggravation >:(}

what do you mean by loose?  if it's your cable has a loose fit, then i'd say it's the cable end that's bad. if it's interrnal, then, after only 3 weeks, i'd think you'd have no troubles getting oades to fix it.

no, the cable is not loose, its the actual internal coaxil plug on the ua-5.  i might have posted this prematurely.  i havent even talked to the oades.  i was just wondering if anyone knew an easy fix to the problem due to wanting to use it right now.  im calling doug tomorrow, so ill let you know the verdict after that.

if you have an upcoming show they may arrange an advance replacement.... can't hurt to ask.
Governor Jim McGreevey was equally disturbed about the upcoming population increase. "New Jersey cannot support all of these wookies," he said. "For starters, we don't have nearly enough kindbud. At best, we can muster up a Q.P. of some beasties, but we've not a dime-bag more."

Have you tried another coax cable to rule out if the cable itself is bad?
