Title: Microphone Clips
Post by: tomy01 on July 25, 2016, 09:57:32 AM
I just received my CA-11's and was a little surprised that they are a little bigger and heavier than I expected.  I am going to the Guns and Roses show this Friday in Orlando and would like to give these a test run.  Any suggestions of what type(s) of clips I should use for these?  And where to place because of the weight?

Thanks

I've been through a bunch of Audio Technica clips, generic lapel mic clips, sound professionals mini mic clips and the most reliable , strongest grip  easiest to position thing I have found is

a clip like the one I've linked.   They are strong, cheap and adaptable.  and if you loose one , it isnt $10  to replace.   just be careful as the jaws are strong/ sharp(possibly wrap your mic cable with tape ) where you are going to use the clips and you are gold.   I've used these for years and have never looked back.  as to placement  the brim of a baseball cap is best   but if you feel too exposed that way  peek them out of a collar of a (preferably dark colored golf shirt)
