Looking for a set of shock mounts for C4s. Tried the stock ones on a shure vert bar last night and was not happy with the results (mount has 3/8 insert > Plastic 5/8 thread on mounts). Was trying din-a with hypers and needed to get that 17cm spacing and couldn't do it with the two 3/8 > 5/8 adapter (too much length added). So i took out the 3/8 insert and tried the 5/8 plastic thread on the vert bar and almost striped the plastic threads.
Bottom line, I need decent shock mounts with metal 5/8 threads for 20 mm dia. small condenser mics. Not looking to break the bank.
Any suggestions?

Rycote InVision (http://www.rycote.com/products/invision/) series.
INV-3 is the smallest - or INV-6 or INV-7.
Very rugged and extremely effective - and very inexpensive (£30 in the UK).
