Are these Tascam mics trully the same as Nak 300's?:

Back when I had a full rig I ran Nak 300's and loved them. Pondering getting another set to run....

I had a pair of Tascam PE120's 20 years or so ago and when I sold them to a friend he used a pair of Nak cp4's on them
IMHO I think they are more similar to the Nak 100's not the 300's due to the sound of them
but I could be wrong ... it wouldn't be the first time

after checking specs on Nak mics I see the 100's use a 1.5 v battery as opposed to a 9v that the 300's use
so most likely the might be the same ... I just remember I did not really like the sound of them as well as
the Sennheiser 421's I replaced them with, of course after a few years I replaced those with AKG 451's

The auction description is correct. TEAC made the mics. And you can run CM300's on a AA battery, just not real well. Adds to the noise factor.

Could you share??? As I said, I used to run the CM300's and had a great source for those funky 9volts. I was very happy with them and would like to run them again!

I think that TEAC sold the mics as model ME-80.

Ya know...you are trying to help....but do you think the folks that are (or were...) bidding on those want the extra attention?...sure the seller does...but the guys that have been watching them all week were probably hoping that everybody at taperssection was out getting too loaded to be up at 8:00 am to bid....

I also am going to list soon a tri-set of CM-300's that used to be mine several years ago but were sold to my buddy. Now he wants me to unload these so he can upgrade.

Listing them for $250, includes 3 CM-300's with CP-1 & CP-2 caps, 2 pop screens and 2 mic holders, 9V cells and case to hold alll three.

Will be listing later this week.

PS-The TEAC mics are the same as the CM-100's if using the 1.5AA cells, if they run the 9V cells they are the CM-300 model. Higher op. voltage equates to lower self noise. Can't recall what model TEAC called them, but the op voltage is what gives away.
