I think the "flush" ones are just an older model.  I have used some ck62s of the "flush" styling, while all ck61s and ck63 caps I have used have been of the "protruding" variety.  I would think the specs are the same and it should not matter, if both caps are in good/equal condition.  They could probably use a trip to TN to optimize performance, however.

I second what batman said above, I have the older ck61 "flush" looking caps that came with my stock 460's. I then had mine modded by JW and bought some brand new ck63 caps from Dale Pro Audio about 3 years ago which have the protruding grill on them. Something else I just noticed the other day is the wire mesh on the caps are different when held up to a light. I can "see through" the newer 63 caps and see the element inside, but cannot see through my older 61 caps...hmm maybe its just nicotine clogging up the mesh screen on the caps.  :-\
And if it helps my serial #'s on my older ck61 caps are: 2125, 2767...I think you will be fine, one is probably just an older cap than the other. good luck!

checked them out last night, they looked even nicer than the photos showed. hooked them up to his mini-me just to verify they both worked and didn't have any blatent noise issues, and they sounded great!

i'm getting them from him this weekend and then they'll be headed to Jim Williams next week to get the other one moded and I should have a set of JW mod 461s in my hands within a couple weeks!!!
