Topic: Did I screw something up - Neumann Caps Question

I would think the threads are there for a reason. I just went to unscrew my km140 active to remove the active cable and I unscrewed the cap at the very top instead of at the active cable. I have never done that and I notice there is a very small o-ring at is a tight fit (nice) and I'm wonder did I potentially screw something up. Drunk/Stoned and paranoid
