Do a search for "beta 58" on eBay to see the going rate. If the microphone is in good shape, that price isn't bad. That particular microphone is used for vocal sound reinforcement. For less than $100 you can pick up an original SM58 brand new.
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.

All of the beta series mics have a "prescence boost" in the high mids.  Can cause feedback issues sometimes. Im not sure if I like them better over the SM58 or not. Iveused them both.  The going rate on ebay is $100-$110.

just to make sure we are on the same page- the primary use for this mic is on stage or in the studio, not for field diffuse work.

it is a decent mic though im partial to the non beta version.

nothin beats a 57 for a workhorse though.

Yeah., I hear people saying how they use this mic for vocals and backups..
My buddy is selling it cause his band split up, and needs some dough.
My band already has gear, (ive never used this mic personally)
so i will make a little dough off it if I can...
. I have my sound pros mics to use for taping..Cant imagine trying to sneak that thing into a venue...
Thanks bud.
