Scott,
I'm on XP.  It looks just like your screen shot, only no groups dropdown menu and no create iso button.  I'm leaving for CES tonight.  I won't be back until Sunday or Monday.  I really appreciate your help.  I will check back with the thread when I return.

Peace,
Chris

Ya know, I'm using XP(bleh) and my screenshot looks like it should, however when I create the ISO it's recognized by XP as type "File" instead of image.  Do I just add the .iso extension after that  ???  or am I doing something wrong?

Scott,

Just wanted to say what a great little program this is. I tried it out last Friday (Win2k) and it worked great. I usually create them in wavelab but figured I would try this out. It is about as easy as could be and everything worked great.

I think it will be my choice when I want to burn DVD-A and not deal with creating menus and images for each track etc.

thanks again

what is the point of creating groups?

i thought maybe i could create 2 disks at once, so made group1=disk 1 & group2=disk 2...but it looks like it made one huge 6+GB file,  Obviously you cant burn 6GB :P
So, how does the Group work?

Groups are necessary for combining different bit/sample rates on a single disc. Each group must have files of the same type in it.

also, I like to put set 1 in group 1, set 2 in group 2.  that sort of thing.  it's not really necessary, and I've burned many DVD-A discs from discwelder with the whole show in one group (discwelder bronze only allows you to burn one group).  but I like to split them up if I can.  My DVD player allows me to skip tracks, or to skip whole groups.  So if I want to go right to Set 2, instead of skipping ahead to track 13 or whatever, I can skip straight to Group 2.

Then you can't burn it to a single-layer DVD. I made this mistake the first time I tried Scott's program. He's had some inconsistencies with size reporting, but it's within a few % of being correct based on what Nero reports.

Scott, if you're still taking requests: finding the exact max size the image can be and putting a warning "are you sure you want to create an ISO larger than *blah* MB/GB?" would be a nice addition. It's annoying to find that the image is too big and then have to wait to recreate the entire thing.

right, you can't do it if it's more than 4.7gb.  most of the 24 bit shows I have are still at 24/48, and the whole show comes in under 4.7gb.  for every 24/96 show that I have, each set gets a seperate disc.

Hey Scott,
I've downloaded .4 / .41 / .42 versions and all downloads are missing the 'create iso' button.  Any thoughts on what might be happening? ???

Scott, re: Chris' problem ... could it be a java issue? Maybe he needs to download a new JVM?

i'd still love to see a screen shot.  if you hit "print screen" on your keyboard, it'll copy a screen shot to the clipboard.  then just paste it into "paint", save the image and post it here
