Noobie w/a NJB#
« on: January 27, 2004, 11:12:49 PM »
I took the dive & got a Nomad.

My 1st question is how long will a single fully charged battery last, and does the 2nd battery actually double recording time?  I've gotten close to 3 hrs of continuous listening time before it's died.

2nd question, anyone have any input on anything to be careful of or any faults w/nomads?

Many T's upfront. :)

Don't spill alcohol on it.  It doesn't like that.  :drunk:

with two fully charged batteries and can get a little over 5 hours of recording time.

I've noticed that if you keep it cleaned off, format the drive about once a month (every 5-10 recordings) or so you'll have fewer chances of getting a glitch in the recording.

Bueno, ed. Muchos Gracias!  So not just delete stuff from the drive, but actually format it?

i've never really tried just deleting files, i figured why not just format and start fresh.  I usually format and then do a disc cleanup once more after that to be extra safe, even tho its not really needed.

welcome aboard form, this place is very informative, you'll be a pro in no time.
