Title: connecting eco charge top to new powersonic 6 volt
Post by: fsulloway on March 18, 2007, 05:58:43 PM
My friend's eco charge died and I talked him into going the powersonic route. Looks like you could just pop off the top of the 6v eco charge and then could you connect it to a powersonic 6 volt 7amp battery. Anyone know if the connectors line up or if any extra wiring/soldering needed? Just trying to figure out if it's something he can do on his own. Thanks.

I have never tried to use an eco-charge top so I can't say if it is plug & play or not but a typical SLA battery system consists of just two terminals. All you are worried about is pin 1 & 4 on a typical 4 pin XLR connection. I would check polarity before I disassembled the old battery but I would imagine there isn't much under the plastic top except some simple leads & crimped connectors.
