Thanks to everyone who has helped me figure this stuff out thus far!
I'm looking at mostly sealth recording.
Mic: cmc-2 (or 4), with SPSB-1 + Roll Off (correct?)
JB3
What else am I missing here?
Is there any other editer someone can recommend other than the Cool Edit Pro? I hear its great, but it is $400.
And, what are the most common cables used for patching off a soundboard? Or are there just too many possibilities?
Thank you for your help,
Ben

If you're stealthing, literally AND figuratively. :D

you got all the necessary accessories?
extra batts
correct cables and interconnects(and backups)
jb3 firmware updates (so you can see levels)
stealthy clothes (big pants, hat to hide mics, fanny pack for gear, etc.)
oh and last but not least ..... brass balls ;)
good luck! I can't wait to get my stealth setup together at some point.

Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) is free.

You'll need XLR, 1/4", 1/8", and RCAs to have your bases covered. Just get one set of cables and buy the various adapters.

I've got a pc.
I'll mostly be recording indie shows in a small club.
Deep pockets. . . my dad owes me a graduation gift. He's tight with money, but I'm trying my best to make it go far. I'm putting in some of my own too. About a 800 dollars total. Maybe a 1000 on a good day.
