anyone? thinking about Jason B.'s portadat, but only if I can run the hhb a/d and ditch the shitmapper. Thanks, Marc.

That's what I am running currently (with mod460 instead of 4022, which are similar in output) - and there is plenty of gain except for acoustic music. Just run mics straight into the HHB for acoustic music.

makes sense. and I was pretty pleasantly surprised the one time I was forced to run 4022>hhb. not fabulous, but the hhb mic pre isn't bad at all, as long as you hit the 20db pad for loud music. thanks, Marc.

couldn't you go 148>HHb (mic in) for acoustic stuff? I would think this would be similar to going 148>V3 like several people like to run. Not sure how much you are risking overloading the HHb mic input though.
Take care,
Ben
