Hmm....well it has a SPDIF in, so it may be pretty good for a stealth.  However I doubt it's been tested for bit perfectness (wtf?  damn alcohol), so I'd be hesitant to snag one.  I'd go with the JB3 instead...

JB3 seems just to big for me :-), but maybe i should read more about it. biggest downer to the MD is (apart from compression) that is has no light!!

I can't find any info on it being able to record to wav.  It'll definitely playback wav though.  The only price I can find is $600 AU, which I have no idea as to what that converts to.  Leads me to believe it's not available in the states yet.

It looks like you will be limited to a short battery life. It plays 16 hours on a 1.5 AH battery, which is shorter than the JB3 with one battery. I would guess max recording time would be about 2 hours. I'm not sure if a second battery could be added or if you could buy another and swap them out, but you could rig up a 5V external power like people have done for the JB3. If they seem like they have good support and have updated the firmware to record wav, it might be promising.

Do you have an external A/D converter you plan to use? If not, you may consider the Neuros model. There is at least one person on this board using it.
