Post by: KC5 on January 30, 2004, 11:05:53 PM

The cost of batteries is biggest drawback to the n/rboxes that I have found.  Ive yet to switch to rechargables, because im paranoid about the reliabilty of them.  Instead, I order them off the net, prices are WAY cheaper than in any store for duracells.

PM me if you want the website I order off.  It took me a bit to find an online store with brand namesm but havent had any issues as of yet.

i wonder if these boxes could be modified so that they'd have rechargeables like the oade brick.

Current price is $1.25/battery (for Duracell 9 volts). And they will price match if yah find em cheaper.  (no affiliation on my part)

I've been using 4 of these in the box, and one in the AD-20, for a little over a month now (about 12 shows).  Haven't had the need to push them for much over 2 hours, but they still seem to have plenty of charge after that amount of time:

What scares me is that he batteries in my Nomad were almost dead after only ~130 minutes on Saturday... :hmmm:

i wonder why the n-box is draining that much current to discharge four 9V's in one show.  the jk labs box runs off of two 9V's, and lasts like 80-100 hours.  i didn't change batteries in the thing all summer.  8)

Old post, but I thought I would pass this along... Klay.com has Energizer 9V Batteries for $1.25 each too.

Just bought 32 of them. Dam Nbox :)
