At the XLR end of the body, about 1/2" from where the diameter gets slightly narrower, there are three miniature screws spaced around the circumference of the body. Using a miniature screwdriver turn each of these screws
clockwise (i.e. driving them
into the mike body) about 1-1/2 turns (never more than that, or you may well lose them).
Then the outer sleeve will slide away from the XLR connector. Important: While the amplifier is open, never touch any of the parts that are located toward the capsule end of it. But in any case there really, really shouldn't be anything loose inside.
