Title: tmod+ ua-5 matrix!
Post by: Chanher on July 06, 2005, 01:47:46 AM
Matrices on these boxes can be simple and effective. this particular band had only vocals running through the board and that's it. it fills in nice, I maybe should've turned it up a hair, but the mics sound nice.  here is a mp3 sample of a band the other week.

[studio project c4 (card, ~ortf, stage lip center) + rca board feed] > tmod+ ua-5 (24-bit/48kHz) > usb > compaq armada m300 pIII > wavelab 5.0 (downsample / UV22 HR dither)

nice, you'll have to get the "mod-knob' - that should make it even easier for ya to adjust the rear rca input level. Did you monitor with headphones?  Or maybe the band was too loud for that. Thinking the ER-6's  (which I just got yesterday) will come in handy for matrix's - at least for the quieter shows.

mod-knob is definitely in order, and if leegedy can get the front panel mod, then this box will be golden.

I used shure e2's, and I'm still getting the hang of it. I've been burned so many times in the past with the vocals from the board being too hot, I think I was too cautious. Still learning...
