why when you have QTC-1's in the mix? 4 Hz to 40 kHz that's flat.  8)

They give you the nice bottom end that the SR-77's lack.

Based on the single 16-bit comp I heard, I'd rather keep my V3 and wait for a a more barebones recorder.  Haven't heard a 24-bit comp yet, though.

Yep, what I would love is something that will do what the JB3 does, except in 24 bit.  I just want to send it a digital signal, and have a device to record it. And with a better user interface than the JB3 for sure.  But hey, I'd love to have a 744!   ;D
