Burning CDs
« on: December 16, 2012, 02:59:08 PM »
I want to make very small changes to the EQ and volume level (not the compression) of my favorite CD tracks, so everything will be to my liking when I burn a compilation CD of WAV files. Itunes will make these adjustments for playback within the program, but is useless for burning, as it won't transfer these changes to a burned CD. What would be the simplest and easiest program to do this?  Thanks!

Nero allows you to edit the audio you're going to burn (EQ, volume, normalization, crossfades, cut/paste portions, etc). Only downside is that it's a paid program, but there are solutions for that (like buying it, or other less-legal stuff). It is a worldwide-used, reliable piece of software that can be very powerful but is still accesible and intuitive enough for not experienced users.

As to freeware, there are TONS of programs that will allow you to edit the WAV files and then burn them. Here's a few I have used myself, check them out:

You can google "wav edit burn" and have a try yourself too ;)
