Not sure which forum to stick this in so why not here. I'm picking up a Sony RMR-D3. Its the 7pin/optical/spdif box that allows you to also use a remote as well to control a d7/8/etc. Anyways the only limitation of the unit is that it has a fixed power plug.
What I want to see is if its possible to chop off the power cable and make it portible powered either by my VRBox or by some sort of battery box. On the bottom of the unit it says 120 V 2.2 W
Who of our ts.comcommunity modders might best help me realize this project? Anybody tried something like this before?
