Is UA-5 @ 6V possible?

Sorry if this has been discussed already but I couldn't find an answer w/ the search function (both here and at Oade).....
Has anyone tried to power their UA-5 w/ a 6V battery system instead of a 9V or 12V battery sytem? I figured that since the something like an AD-20 can be powered from 6V to 12V perhaps the Edirol might do so as well. My guess is probably not since I've not seen any discussion about it but I thought I'd ask anyway.
thanks,
Drew

Probably with a creative voltage transformer circuit (if I recall correctly from my ham radio test) it could be done, but it's not worth the hassle.
huh huh, you said bridge rectifier, huh huh...

I ran it this weekend w/ a 12V SLA. It worked OK so I guess I'll stick w/ that for now. Besides, I've been wanting to get back into weight lifting again.... Thanks for the suggestions.
