This might seem like something you can't do.
I want to buy a 4-track CF portable that can record TC, but my budget doesn't let me to go up to more than $ 4,000 SD 744T.
The other lower budget option is the Edirol R-4 Pro, but it records in HD, not in CF. As this machine will likely be used hanging from the shoulder and on the move, it needs to be a CF machine. Like an Edirol R-44.
As the TC is added as a time stamp at the beginning of the take, I wonder if it's possible to modify the header and add that info.
