Iriver 120: Preamp or not?
« on: January 17, 2006, 01:22:00 PM »
You can plug mics straight into the line-in of the Iriver without a batterybox and you can record. It is powered from the Iriver battery (correct me if i am wrong). Do i still need to use my (simple) batterybox (that also has 3 settings for preamp)?

i personally would. i'm guessing that without the "protection" of the battery box that preamp could overload and brickwall.
Schoeps MK4s > active cables > NBox+ > Edirol R-09HR
