Hello,
I have several shows that I have taped using my Olympus VN-960Pc digital recorder. I would like to be able to upload the shows to my computer, burn them to a CD, and also convert the files to FLAC and upload them here. I have 2 computers at my disposal. One has Win 98 and the other has Vista. Now for the problems:
1. The Olympus software is not compatible with Vista, which is what I have on my new computer. I can load the Olypmus software to my old computer and I have uploaded some files from the recorder to the computer. BUT, the computer is so old that it does not support adobe audition, dbpoweramp, etc. So, the only thing I can really do with the files is use Roxio and burn them to a data disk.
2. Once I have the "data" disk, I do not know what to do with it. Here is the information from one of the files I recorded with the Olypmus, uploaded to my old computer, and burned as a data disk:
1. Size: 15.63MB
2. Original Size: 62.08MB
3. Length: 24:36 minutes
4. Channel: 1 (mono)
5. Sample Rate: 22KHZ
6. Sample Size: 16bit
7. Bit Rate: 88 Kbps
8. Encoder Setting: 1MA ADPCM
9. Audio Quality: Low (lossy)
10. Channel Mapping: Center
11. Type: .wav
I have heard that there is a way to convert the files from 22KHZ to 44 KHZ, so I can at least listen to them on a CD player. Can anyone tell me how to do it? I would appreciate any assistance anyone can give me on how I can convert the files (that are on a data CD) so I can play them on a CD player and also convert them to FLAC to upload here.
Thanks!!!!!
Chris
