Hebden Sound 3020 cardoids and Rode NT45O capsules?
« on: June 12, 2009, 12:29:51 PM »
hi guys,

have any of you used HS3020s before? on the website i was only able to hear the omnis (which were rather good actually  ;D) but i haven't had the chance to hear the cardoids. i'm looking to get a new pair of mics and was wondering if this would be it

also, the rode omnis.... i've heard good things about them, but what do you guys think? i've been running rode nt5s for the last 4-5 years and was wondering if i should get the omni caps

thanks!

cheers,
guo

Semi-shameless plug:

Hebden 3020 = Calrec 2050

Samples can be heard in this thread:  http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=122471.0

I would take them over Rode NT5 in a second.  As always, YMMV.
