Topic: Problem transfering 24bit file from a Tascam 788 Portastudio

I am trying to get some files off this Portastudio for a friend of my girlfriends.  I got all the 16bit tracks fine.  When I play back the tracks that are 24bit I am getting a constanting clicking.  I've doubled check the setting I'm using to record with in WaveLab.  24bit and 44.1Hz(which is just a guess, the manual never clearly states this).  I'm using a maudio 2496 card.  It has no settings for bit rate, just sample rate.  What am I missing here?
