Title: How do you use your iPad (or other tablet)?

Bought an iPad recently and I find I basically check FB and browse the web with it.
Would like to get more use out of it.

What do TS'ers use theirs for?
Especially anything related to what we do?

great games out there for them, that's pretty much what I use mine for, mp3 player somewhat, but it's pretty huge for that

Same as you...I enjoy traveling with one too...less impact than a Laptop and should it disappear not as devastating...

My buddy whom mixes sound for a band walks out into the crowd and makes changes to mix and eq via wireless connection to his X32 Behringer board...the band members use one to personally control stage mix to their in ear monitor

what apps do they use?
Are they part of the board or something that just connects to it

For the X32 - the console is on the network via ethernet - and you control it via an app - also connected to the network via wireless - the android version is nicely developed - but I've only mixed on the Ipad version.

Other than that - my tablet is used to bedside reading...

I'm about to pull the trigger on an open-box Mackie DL32r. It's a 32 channel mixer in 3 rack units. iPad surface, and the best part? it records 32 channel wav to HD without needing a PC.  The record can be prefader or post.

So, that's what I'll be using an iPad for.
