Rottsa Ruck trying to power an A/C device in the field.  You could try a Radio Shack inverter like this:

http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&category%5Fname=CTLG%5F009%5F001%5F008%5F000&product%5Fid=22%2D144

wired into a 12V SLA.  WHY would you purchase a device that runs off A/C to run in the field anyway?

yea man, thats the best luck your probably gonna get..  a dc-ac converter..  Sounds hard.. but i've seen it done, i saw a guy using a car battery with a bigger version of that inverter.  granted its big, but thats a lot of power..  Good luck.
