So I built these with right angle XLR's to connect to my V3 mic in so I don't have to remove my V3 from the Nova 4 bag to connect my Audio Magic mic cables to.
The cables are quad strand silver coated, teflon shielded, MIL spec cables. I purchased a 1M length of this cable from an auido engineer selling the shit on Ebay.
http://cgi.earthlink.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33205&item=3094894842&rd=1 From what was stated the cable is suppose to be high quality stuff, so I gave it a try. Ran two cables in parallel to make up a quad config and heat shrinked the two together, added the right angle XLR's (so the V3 doesn't stress the end portion of the connector) and marked the dirrectional input for my Audio Magic cables to connect to.
As I type they are per-burning in at home on a repeat CD function for about 150hrs or so. Was fun building them!!
What do you folks think? Comments? Suggestions??
Thanks!
