Just for giggles, drop by your Martin Logan dealer, put an iPod with some lossless HQ recordings up on a pair of Purities and spend an hour in envelopment.

I know this is a 180° spin, but I think it time well spent.

Just as with mics to a recording, the lynchpin may well be speakers in playback.

(BTW, Purity speakers are powered)

oh yea, I'm a big fan of the ML purity line.  put a nice DAC in front of them and stream it all from the home network.  Brilliant.
