Hello,
I just installed the F8 Control app to test how it works.
When the bluetooth is enabled in the recorder, many menus are disabled, supposely because we can control them via the App.
The Menu in the App is not mirroring the menu in the recorder though and I cannot find a way to change track names via bluetooth (which would be faster than using the knob on the recorder).
What I am missing for this is the menu "Meta data (for next take)".
Also anyone managed to have a physical keyborard working with it?
Thanks

Make sure you've installed the firmware updates on the F8. Before the first update came out, the control app had lots of issues that were fixed when the first firmware update was issued.

Just got my F8. How do you turn on/off Bluetoothonce your recording has started? Can you only do this during startup?

You have to turn it on before hitting record. You can turn it off though during recording.

Yes, I already installed the firmware v.2.00, hence the question about the app.

I don't have an iOs device so I don't know for sure
but did you also install the
Software Extension File
Bluetooth Add-on (152KB)
from the zoom f8 download page: https://www.zoom-na.com/products/field-video-recording/field-recording/zoom-f8-multitrack-field-recorder#downloads (https://www.zoom-na.com/products/field-video-recording/field-recording/zoom-f8-multitrack-field-recorder#downloads)
Appear like you need to install that.
in the pdf included in the zip file it states step 2 is: Copy the software extension file to the root directory on an SD card.
like doing the firmware upgrade to the F8
perhaps you already did that, if so disregard.
