Looking for a recorder to use with the SD MM-1
« on: December 08, 2012, 01:43:16 PM »
Noob here, just trying to figure out how to get decent sound and it seems to be getting more and more difficult ha.

My current setup is an Oktava MK012, DR100 (original mk1), and an SD MM-1.  I got the MM-1 to take away the harsh hiss that I got using high gain on the DR100 (medium doesn't pickup well with a mic like the MK012). After getting my gear, I've stupidly realized that the DR100 can't handle the +4dBu of the MM-1.

So anybody have a good suggestion for a hopefully inexpensive recorder that I can use with the MM-1? I've read that the DR100 MKII accepts true line level input is that right?
