Microtrack: WHAT IS TRS BOOST?
« on: November 30, 2006, 09:07:50 PM »
I was wondering what this 27dB TRS Boost is.  What exactly does this do?  I've had this option on for a while and my recordings are coming in very loud.  Would I get a lower input volume with this option off?  Thanks for the help.

yes, if you turn it off you will get 27db less
depending on what you are running behind it and what kind of music you are recording i recommend running it off most of the time
Mics - AKG ck61/ck63 (c480b & Naiant actives), SP-BMC-2
XLR Cables - Silver Path w/Darktrain stubbies
Interconnect Cables - Dogstar (XLR), Darktrain (RCA > 1/8) (1/8 > 1/8), and Kind Kables (1/8f > 1/4)
Preamps - Naiant Littlebox & Tinybox
Recorders - PCM-M10 & DR-60D
